Thinking about a laser treatment?
Many people get photorejuvenation or photofacials to remove brown spots, redness, or dilated blood vessels.  And the most common device to treat these problems all at the same time is the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light).

The weaker, less customizable IPLs are sold to salons or spas. Most salons buy these models because their technicians don’t have a medical license, so salons need a device that is simple to operate. But your treatment is often less effective.

Even among the ones sold to doctor’s offices, they can vary a lot.  The state of the art IPLs are very powerful and can be completely customized for you so you get great results.  A good cosmetic dermatologist will have the better lasers.
