Is there a weight requirement for Sculptra treatments?

Is there a weight requirement to be able receive treatment for SCULPTRA face injections. I weigh 130 lbs. . Thanks, Robert

This is interesting because although the answer is no………..it is true that Sculptra is most effective visually in people of normal or lower  body weights.  It was originally approved in the U.S. for use in HIV related lipoatrophy (loss of fat pads) in the face.     Then…….after several  years, it got it’s general aesthetic approval.

In my opinion, it’s those women/men with fuller faces to start with who don’t see as much difference.   More Sculptra and it’s uses.  Sculptra is a long lasting temporary filler that is made of lactic acid (stuck together in chains) that stimulates your own collagen.

It was recently acquired by Galderma (from Valeant) – and many of us are thinking Galderma will do a better job of educating consumers about this product.
