How to give up being a sun worshipper???
Thank you for writing because you said it better than I could probably! In other words, you are seeing the cost and damage of all that sun now.
Most people who say they love the sun really love being outdoors and love the warmth. You CAN be warm and outdoors and still protect your skin………..just sayin!!! Here’s how:
- Cover your skin with really cute sun protective clothing! J Crew has great rash guards, Athleta does, see Nordstrom online item # 973704, for example, and many surfer sites. That totally takes care of the top half.
- Use a great high zinc sunscreen on your face, neck and hands ……….link to these……that covers those areas. Hats also really help.
- Now you just have the legs and feet (I’m assuming you’re wearing some type of bathing suit bottom :)). For the legs and feet, slather them with some Coppertone Sport or even better, Elta MD Body sunscreen and then use a high zinc powder on the tops of the feet and the wrinkle prone upper thigh.
- Have your primary care doctor check your Vitamin D level at least once a year and use a supplement if you are low.
You’ll be warm, outdoors and your skin will be beautiful for life!!!
