For the mom with the daughter with melasma!
Hello Dr. Irwin, My daughter has melisma from using birth control. All though it has gotten better she is confused as to what sunscreen and products she should use. She is beautiful and 33 but her self-esteem is low at this time. I have read that the adrenal glands can cause or add to this condition, she has been under tremendous emotional stress so I question if this is possible. Also, do you have colleges who you recommend for her to see as she lives in Richmond, Virginia? I greatly appreciate your time and your site and I will send your link to my daughter who would probable be very upset with me knowing that I am writing to you, but that's what us mothers do when we know their children are struggling, regardless of their age. Your daughter is so lucky to have a mom who cares so much! Here’s a link to at least some good dermatologists who are near to where she is.
