For Coolsculpting and Thermage for the tummy, which one should I do first?
I really don’t recommend the Thermage body tip. I do think the facial and eyelid tips work well for certain individuals depending on age, skin type, problem, etc. But, in my opinion, the Thermage body tip (which our practice used for a short time) is quite painful and the results underwhelming, not worth the time and money.
Coolsculpting, on the other hand, works very consistently and well (about 25% reduction per treatment) but the fat must be “pinchable,” and you must have enough fat.
We use Exilis for body patients who just need fine tuning, have small pockets of fat, need skin tightening on the body only (like the neck or a post C-section abdomen in a lower body weight woman), upper arms, etc. Like many technologies, it’s important that the doctor/nurse knows how to use it and does it correctly or you won’t see results! Quality is everything.
Happy holidays, Dr. I
