How many CO2 treatments are necessary for optimal results?
The amount of CO2 treatments needed depends primarily on two things – what your goal is and how much repair you need (age and sun damage).
For example, if you are 40, and are trying to correct some fine wrinkling and get a little tightening, one moderate treatment (about 4-6 days of downtime) could be all you need. If you are 67, and trying to correct some moderately severe sagging, with deeper wrinkles, you would be likely to need some volume replacement (to lift the face) with filler, followed by 2-3 CO2 lasers (over 1-2 years) for optimal results.
As with everything, maintenance is needed because we age continuously. 🙂 So think after that approximately 1 treatment a year with a light CO2. We call it a maintenance treatment (and it’s a long weekend of downtime) or a Fraxel Dual.
