Can Renova be used on the neck and can squalene be substituted?

Should renova be used on the neck area and are products that have squalane in them a better substitute for renova?

The short answer is yes. Renova can be used on the neck but it is more likely to irritate neck skin than facial skin. If you try it, dilute is first with your moisturizer with approximately equal amounts and try it cautiously and gradually build up. You must use a sunscreen daily with at least 5-15% zinc in it if you use Renova.

 

Squalene is completely different, it is a fatty compound found in shark liver oil and some plants sources now. It is not a substitute for a retinoid but may be a nice component of a moisturizer or other anti-aging product. Make sure it’s a plant source to save the shark population.
