Is it possible to predict the success of Thermage?
I guess my first questions is ……..did your dermatologist see you and think you would be a good candidate. In my experience, if you have very mild hooding (upper eyelid sagging) and very mild laxity at your jawline, Thermage could be a good choice for you. If you have even a moderate amount of eyelid hooding or sagging at the jawline, my guess is you’ll be disappointed with the Thermage. If your goal is to just maintain what you have, you’ll probably be happy with the Thermage. Age is a factor in how well Thermage works in my opinion. It tends to be most effective in the 35-60 age group so you’re at the upper end of that range now.
As for competency, a minimum of 10 to 20 cases would be nice. Find out if the technician has a medical degree. For example, an MA, RN, PA-C, ARNP or in some states, a licensed aesthetician. Also, are they using eyelid shields that go in (not over) the eye while working directly on the eyelids. Dr. I
