Is there anything i can do about Sculptra bumps around the eyes?
I am so sad that you had this experience. As you know the company who makes this product (now Valeant) is not recommending using this product around the eyes. This is because a small percentage of patients, like yourself, developed bumps. This is partly because the skin is very thin there and partly because there is strong muscle action with smiling and squinting which may cause the product to bunch causing bumps.
Some experienced Sculptra doctors around the world are helping to dissolve these bumps without surgery by numbing around the bump with a little local lidocaine (just like the kind used for biopsies), and then using a small needle injecting sterile water (not saline) directly into the bump with slow, steady pressure. Using strong massage to massage the water into the bump and then repeating this process every 3 or 4 weeks or so until the bump softens and starts to dissolve.
Do you have an experienced Sculptra doctor near you who could do this for you?? Sculptra does not cause cancer. I hope this helps. Dr. I
