Problems with permanent makeup tattoos; New from the Paris Conf (IMCAS)

One important issue discussed at the conference was the increase in permanent makeup tattoos ………with the problems with them increasing as well.  Many times these procedures go well……but when they don’t the very public and visible problem can be devastating and difficult since it’s on the face.

Two important things if you are dealing with this problem of permanent makeup tattoos:

  1.   Absolutely do not try to cover up the problem by covering up the bad tattoo with flesh colored tattoo ink.   The flesh colored tattoo ink is almost impossible to remove with a tattoo removal laser and turns a weird green color.   Better to seek help from an EXPERT tattoo removal dermatologist/plastic surgeon in your area.
  2. If you are really, really in trouble it may be worth considering a trip to Switzerland to get help from one of the world’s experts in the problem.  Her name is Dr. Bettina Claudia Rummelein.
