What do you think about using Radiesse for the jowls and around the mouth?
In the hands of an experienced doctor or injector, around the jawline and the jowls, Radiesse can give a nice support that looks very natural. It can also be quite effective around the lower chin and that line that runs from the bottom of the lip to the chin (meso labial fold).
Where it’s not good is around or in the lips, in my opinion. The muscles around the mouth are very strong and it can get lumpy there. Again, especially avoid injections in the lips themselves.
The one key disadvantage of Radiesse is that it’s NOT reversible the way Juvederm/Restylane/Perlane, etc. are. The hyaluronic acid fillers can be reversed with the enzyme hyaluronidase. Radiesse cannot be reversed, if you dislike it. You have to wait for it to wear off which can be 4-12 months. Dr. I
