Do we really need makeup? Is British skin the best??

I found your web site very helpful but I want to ask if not wearing make up at all is a good idea? I am British and was never brought up on using makeup and the British are supposed to have the best skin I think! Thanks.

I loved your question because no –  none of us really need makeup –  humans lived for thousands of years without it.  But…… many women love it, find it an affordable luxury, it’s fun, and it can be protective (like sunscreen in foundation).

The reason that many British women have lovely skin is that there is no sun where you live!!!  Your climate is a lot like Seattle, a soggy, rainy, long winter with very little summer. If you have friends who regularly go sunny places to bake, you’ll notice the difference especially past 35. PS – it stll helps your skin to use a light sunscreen every day, even in the winter.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
